Governor Cuomo has called for the close of Indian Point, but given that it produces power needed to maintain the grid for the entire NY Metro area, that may take longer than expected. In the meantime, the facility remains a perfect target for terrorism, foreign or domestic, as the consequence of it going “Fukushima” would require the evacuation of millions of local residents.
